Skills Training

In-Season Sunday Jericho / Bullpen Skills Sessions:

Jericho Baseball is offering optional Sunday Skills training sessions for all interested Mini-Minor and Minor players, as well certain Majors players.  This program will be led by two professionally trained coaches operating with the Bullpen Baseball Academy, a top baseball training program in BC https://bullpen.ca/. 

 

The training will focus on enhanced skill development appropriate for the specific age group, with the introduction of pitching / catching at the Minors level.  The program will run for 6 weeks starting April 24 and ending June 5 (no session May 22) at the following times and locations:

​

·       Mini-Minors cohort: 10:30 – 11:45 (Carnarvon T-Ball, Mini-Minor Field)

·       Minors cohort: 12 – 1:15 (Carnarvon North East Field)

​

Additional training opportunities will be offered to Majors players on Sunday with groups allocated based on availability, skill assessments, and age.  Registration details will be circulated to all eligible participants when available. 

Fall Jericho / UBC Baseball Training:

To help support those kids that want to continue their development in a fun and safe environment, we partner with UBC Baseball to offer Jericho dedicated fall training.   This is typically a 10 week program that runs from after Thanksgiving to middle December at UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Facility with professional instructors https://sportfacilities.ubc.ca/baseball-tc/.  This is a great opportunity for top quality coaching focusing on hitting, throwing and pitching.  We encourage all Jericho players to participate, but spaces are limited so please register promptly if interested. 

 

Registration details will be circulated in September to all eligible players, but the following are the expected times:

 

  • Jericho 7 and 8 year old – Tuesday 4 – 5 pm

 

  • Jericho 9 and 10 year old – Tuesday 7 – 8 pm

 

  • Jericho 11 and 12 year old – Friday 4 – 5 pm
